Slack notifications for leads, jobs and paid invoices
Paste a Slack incoming webhook URL into CalSpark and post new leads, completed jobs and paid invoices to a channel. No Slack app is installed. Available to every company, with Automations on, which it is by default.
Menu path: Settings, Integrations. Updated .

What it does and what it does not
- Posts to one channel when a lead arrives, a job is completed or an invoice is paid in full.
- Adds a Slack message step to any custom automation, with your own text of up to 3,000 characters.
- It is not a Slack app: no slash commands, no buttons in the message, and nothing is read from Slack.
- One webhook means one channel at a time. To change channel, replace the webhook.
- Slack does not charge for incoming webhooks, but your Slack plan applies.
For the full walkthrough with habits that keep the channel useful, read Slack notifications for new leads and paid invoices. To add Slack to your own rules, see build your first custom automation.
If a message does not appear
- Run the connection test. If it fails, replace the webhook URL.
- Check that the automation is switched on under Settings, Automations.
- Open the automation run history and look for a skipped reason.
- Treat the webhook URL like a password. If it leaked, revoke it in Slack and replace it in CalSpark.
Questions
Do I need to install a Slack app?
No. You create an incoming webhook in Slack and paste its URL into CalSpark.
Can I send to more than one channel?
Not with one webhook. The connection posts to the channel the webhook was created for. Replace the webhook to change channel.
Which events have ready-made messages?
New lead, job completed and invoice paid. Any custom automation can include a Slack step for other events.
Can CalSpark read or answer messages in Slack?
No. It only posts messages.
