Comparison

CalSpark vs Jobber

Jobber is an established field service tool with quotes, recurring jobs, reports, routing and apps for iOS and Android. It does more than CalSpark today. CalSpark now has estimates, recurring jobs and a custom automation builder too, and it costs less once you have three or more people on the schedule, because the price does not move with headcount.

How Jobber pricing works for 3, 6 and 10 users

Read from Jobber's public pricing page on October 6, 2026. Competitor prices are taken from each company's public pricing page as of October 2026. Plans change. Check their sites before you decide.

Jobber sells Core, Connect, Grow and Plus. On the month-to-month, no-commitment price, a one-person Core plan is $49, Connect is $139, Grow is $199 and Plus is $499 (5 users). Annual billing is cheaper. The Core card says to add users for $29 a month each.

The page also asks for your team size, and the answer changes what it shows. For 2 to 5 people it lists Connect at $199, Grow at $299 and Plus at $499, each with 5 users included. For 6 to 10 people it lists Connect at $299, Grow at $399 and Plus at $599, each with 10 users included. It does not show Core for those sizes.

Team sizeCalSparkJobber CoreJobber ConnectDifference per year vs Jobber Connect
3 users$49 flat$49 + 2 x $29 = $107 (Core)$199 (5 users included) (Connect)$1,800 more on Jobber Connect
6 users$49 flat$49 + 5 x $29 = $194 (Core)$299 (10 users included) (Connect)$3,000 more on Jobber Connect
10 users$49 flat$49 + 9 x $29 = $310 (Core)$299 (10 users included) (Connect)$3,000 more on Jobber Connect

Read the Core column as the floor, and the Connect column as the plan Jobber shows for your team size. Connect is the lowest Jobber plan with automated client reminders and QuickBooks Online sync. If you need either, Connect is your comparison. Two-way text messaging and the custom automation builder were listed from Grow when we read the page. Confirm that on Jobber's site.

Jobber also charges card processing on payments you take: 2.9% plus 30 cents. CalSpark does not set payment fees. Stripe charges its own, and money goes to your Stripe account.

What you give up by switching to CalSpark

  • Two-way text messaging with customers. CalSpark sends reminder emails, but texts need your own Twilio account and setup, and are off by default.
  • Routing and GPS tracking, which Jobber lists from Connect.
  • QuickBooks Online sync and Zapier, which Jobber lists from Connect. In CalSpark both are planned and not available.
  • Reports. There are no reporting dashboards.
  • An Android app. Technicians use the phone web view.
  • Years of polish. Jobber has been used by many more shops than CalSpark, which has no customers yet.

What you keep is the daily work: a dispatch board with drag and click, conflict warnings with an override, customer records with several addresses, job photos and invoices with card payment. See the scheduling page and the invoicing page.

Who should stay on Jobber

  • You want customizable quotes with optional line items, which Jobber lists from Grow. CalSpark estimates are a plain list of line items.
  • Texting customers matters to you because no-shows cost you money. Jobber lists two-way texting on its higher plans (Grow when we read it). CalSpark texts need your own Twilio account.
  • You have Android technicians who need an app.
  • You use QuickBooks Online and want the sync today, not on a roadmap. Jobber has it from Connect.
  • Your team is one person. At one user Jobber Core costs the same as CalSpark.

Who should try CalSpark

  • You have 3 to 10 people on the schedule and per-user fees keep rising.
  • You mainly dispatch, estimate, track jobs and invoice, and you do not open the rest.
  • You want one number on the bill. See the cost calculator.

The trial is 14 days with no card, so test it with a real week of jobs. Moving customers is a CSV file: how to import customers.

Questions

Is CalSpark cheaper than Jobber?

For three or more users, yes, on Jobber's monthly no-commitment prices as of October 2026. Core plus added users is $107 at 3 users, $194 at 6 and $310 at 10. Connect, the plan Jobber shows for those team sizes, is $199 at 3 users and $299 at 6 and 10. CalSpark is $49. At one user Core and CalSpark cost the same. Jobber does more.

Does CalSpark do everything Jobber does?

No. CalSpark has no turnkey customer texting, reports, routing, QuickBooks sync or Android app. If you need those today, use Jobber.

Can I import my Jobber customers into CalSpark?

If you can export your clients as a CSV file, yes. CalSpark maps your columns, flags duplicates by email or phone and reports anything it could not create. Job history does not come over.

What about my open quotes and recurring jobs?

They do not move. Finish them in Jobber or re-create them in CalSpark as estimates and recurring jobs. Plan a clean cutover date and keep Jobber until your open work is done.

Do both take card payments?

Yes. In CalSpark the customer pays by card on an invoice page and the money goes to your own Stripe account, with the full remaining balance collected by card, staff-recorded partial payments and refunds reflected on the invoice.

Try it with your own jobs
